Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 - Latest Indian Official ROM Released - DDLC1

Samsung just released the official ROM for Indian's for their Samsung Galaxy Note N7000.

DDLC1 which was released long ago was still pending for the Indian users. Its just released but the tag given to it is March. May be th ROM was ready and under testing condition for its late release for public. Anyways its never to late as they say.

Temple Run on Android - As Good As on an iPhone/iPad

I just downloaded Temple Run on my Samsung galaxy Note and it runs as smooth and great as it does on an iPhone or an iPad.

I frankly did not expect it to have such a fast and smooth interface. But one of the most happening games Temple Run works beautifully. Im sure it'll make you addictive to playing it again and again.


To keep you addicted & occupied, the game has some really cool objectives which you have to accomplish and all these are possible when you take the coins. Grab as many as you can and keep going.

                         

You can buy powers which are available for time while you play the game. One of them make you invisible, there is a magnet which attracts all the coins even when you cant take them, increase your running speed for some meters and a couple of em'.

Maybe in between or after your done with buying all the powers, get some useful utilities.. Well, I haven't bought them yet so I dunno how exactly they work, but make sure you give them a try..

Bored with your current YOURSELF who keeps running?? Upgrade your character.. Keep collecting coins and upgrading your character with special features. ;)

Google Play Store - Download

I just got the download link of Google Play, I dint expect it would be out so quickly. Installed it and used it to download some apps. Things look the same for now like the android market & I dont know why but this hasnt removed the default market from my mobile. Anyways I have Google Play to flaunt on my Note now.

Samsung Galaxy Note gets Hindi keyboard via OTA update

Ever since its launch in November, the Samsung Galaxy Note has become India’s favourite ‘phablet’. Now adding to its Indian charm Samsung has just released an OTA update for the hybrid, which adds a Hindi keyboard. The guys at the XDA Forums are claiming that the new build is Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 with the kernel version being 2.6.35.7, which brings a number of new features.

In addition to the Hindi keyboard, the English keyboard has also been updated with it sporting a new five-row layout in contrast to the previous four-row layout. XDA users are also claiming that the update has improved battery life and has also added a new unlock screen and a new torch widget.

Android 4.0.3 ICS leak for Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

After the last ICS leak yesterday came out for the Samsung I9220 Galaxy Note,
we now come with the first ICS leak for the Galaxy Note N7000.
The Galaxy Note N7000 is more popular than the I9220.
This is of course because the I9220 is actually only for the Chinese market.
Luckily we got our hands on the first ICS ROM for the Galaxy Note N7000.
This ROM is based on Android 4.0.3 firmware number as N7000XXLP1
We expect this ROM will still have many bugs.
Especially since this is the first leak.
Because this is a CUSTOM rom your CUSTOM binary will walk.

On our FW page you only can find OFFICIAL firmwares by Samsung.
This rom is a early CUSTOM rom by Samsung based on Android 4.0.3.
Samsung did the same by the Galaxy S II. (I9100XXLP1 – I9100XXLP2 both CUSTOM by Samsung.)

I installed this app yesterday and I'm already in love with it. Was just going through the market and saw this in the most trending app's for Android.

You SHOULD get this on your mobile. Super simple to use, just install it and activate it by enabling it in the settings. Plenty of free themes/designs to download including the ICS theme (image below). The lock look of your Android will change totally and will rock. 

You need to install Go Launcher as well for Go Locker to work, not necessary you have to use Go launcher, but just have it on your device.

Samsung’s official ICS ROM for the Galaxy Note leaked, not all models supported

We’ve known for some time that Samsung intended to upgrade its gigantic flagship to Ice Cream Sandwich, and it looks like work is well under way to do so. A new alpha ICS ROM for the Galaxy Note has been posted to XDA Developers, and it looks like it’s an official Samsung release (complete with TouchWiz). The ROM was spotted on a Chinese forum. Don’t boot up your recoveries just yet, Note users: this software only works with the I9220 model number, and it’s localized for the Chinese market. The standard international GSM version, and presumably AT&T’s version set to go on sale on Sunday, are not supported. Flashing to these devices may brick them.

The ICS build itself is in the very early stages. Early users are reporting decent but not fantastic performance, and certainly not up to par with the Galaxy Note’s Gingerbread software. The file is huge, about three to four times the size of a standard ROM, presumably to include Samsung’s TouchWiz additions and custom apps that take advantage of the Galaxy Note’s S-Pen stylus. Testers are reporting issues with various kernels, and flashing this ROM without the correct kernel files seems to be a recipe for everyone’s favorite modder-themed breakfast cereal: Boot Loops.Samsung previously stated that the Galaxy Note would see an update to Ice Cream Sandwich in the first quarter. That gives them about six weeks to get it out on time, though that timeframe is almost certainly only intended for the international version (i7000). Who knows when Samsung and AT&T might get together and update the US Note, which will launch with Gingerbread. In the meantime, modders can turn to the aftermarket, where modified versions of CyanogenMod 9 are already available.

Root Samsung Galaxy Note N7000

Simple steps, Simple to do:
Its the same way we had rooted our Samsung Galaxy S2's

First of all you need to download Odin V1.85 which is the Desktop odin version for rooting your mobile.

Get Odin v1.85 from here: http://www.multiupload.com/1RTGSE061G
Just extract Odin folder and keep the odin3.ini file in it.

Rooting Samsung Galaxy Note N7000:

Make sure you do it the easier way by using the CF-ROOT kernel.


Go to Settings -> About phone -> Kernel Version. Note the string present there:

2.6.35.7-N7000XXKJ4-CL641703

What matters most (KJ4) in this case, is in bold. Try to find the matching file under downloads:

After downloading the respective file, unzip it and you get a .tar file. DO NOT UNZIP the .tar file.


Steps to install CF-ROOT kernel (Root your mobile):
1.Download the kernel from here:  http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331784
2.Power off phone, and enter in DOWNLOAD MODE (Press and Hold the Vol down + Menu/Centre +  Power On keys together, it goes to the download mode and then press the Vol Up key to continue)
3.Connect your mobile to the desktop.
4. Open Odin on desktop and click PDA and select the downloaded .tar CF-Root file on PDA. DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING ELSE or it might just brick your mobile.
5.Only Auto reboot and F.Reset Time which are checked from before will be marked. I REPEAT, DO NOT CLICK ON PARTITION or anything else.
6.Click Start.
7.Let the phone reboot.

After the reboot your mobile will have CWM (ClockworkMod) installed which means your phone is rooted.

Now you are free to install any custom OS you want your Samsung Galaxy Note to have :)

Install:
Install Kies on your computer, connect your phone and make sure that all the drivers installed correctly.

Download Odin to your PC. Extract tar file from the ROM. Put the phone into download mode (vol. down+home+power buttons),

start odin, connect the phone via USB. Choose continue on the phone,
make sure that only two boxes are checked in odin - Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time.
Choose PDA button in Odin and select tar file you extracted before.

Choose START button.

The phone will reboot after the flash. Done.

Kindly post your review after update, specially (mine is here)
- UI - No change
- Battery - Now battery drain reduce much. It was about 3.5 to 4 %/hr in idle state with 3G m some sync app on. Now it is about 2% approx.
- GPS - working suppurb as it was
- Wifi n tethering (Wifi hotspot) - Working smooth
- Indian Language support - Present
- Rooting - Easy works previous method
- Added Audible tone for full bettary (difficult to hear)

N Any other issue if you have after update

Just for Information purpose :
If you are updating over Kies
- It is advisable to backup your data, even after updating over Kies You will not loss your data/applications
- It is advisable to turn Data connection off during update process (I got recurrant disconnect from kies, after data swichoff , no error, what my logic is, I have some application which sync(yahoo mail) n saving data to SD card, in that case it may get disconnected, anyway itz just wat i believe.)
- Root will be lost
- Total time - 1st wizard complete in 2 min to collect updating information, 2nd process(Firmware ugrade), first 0-69% will download require data(554Mb app), n that time depends on your internet connection, 69%-85% and 85-100% will decrypt binnnary files, which takes 2 min. Then phone will restart, downloading to phone will take < 10 min. So keep patience.
- To regain Root just follow method 1 (16nov edit). It will take < 5 min to Root
- CF Root n CWM for KL3 available, you can get it from here.
- If you getting error on Gtalk/Market after update, just go to setting-application-all - select Market- clear data, same repeat for Talk (Google talk)

So wat are you actually getting after update?

It seems nothing on first sight, But only thing i have pointed out after 2 hrs of use is 'battery management'. If it only the benifit we getting, still worth to update.
