Been 24 hours I have flashed Android Jelly Bean 4.1 on my Nexus GSM mobile. Here are some screen shots and features of the new Android 4.1
Well well well, Here you go.. The first screen you see, lock screen with an add on on the top "Google" which takes you to Google Now.
First looks of the home screen with the camera icon on the left, a folder consisting of all the google apps on the right. The usual Nexus dock at the bottom.
Previous reports suggested that Samsung was working on a seques of its wildly successful Galaxy Note. The follow-up "phablet" was said to feature a larger unbreakable plane display and a quad-core processor. According to an anonymous source speaking with GSM Arena, the Note II will be equipped with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and a design inspired by Samsung's Galaxy S III. Despite the larger screen, the width of the device has reportedly been reduced. It was originally said that the handset would launch in October to compete directly against Apple's iPhone 5, but Samsung has seemingly moved the release date up to September to beat Apple to the punch. The website's source was unable to confirm the Note II's processor, RAM or camera.
As the name suggests, the Google Nexus 7
features a 7" IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The
tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip with 1GB of RAM and
12 core ultra-low voltage nVidia GeForce GPU.
And despite the capable hardware, Google managed to keep the price of
the Nexus 7 impressively low. The slate will come in 8GB and 16GB
flavors, which will retail for $199 and $249 respectively.
The Google Nexus 7 comes with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC
connectivity and Google Wallet preinstalled. Sadly, there isn’t a 3G
model available, but obviously keeping the price as low as possible was
key here. That's also the reason there isn't a camera at the back, and
only a 1.2MP front-facing snapper. However, it's capable of shooting
720p video, so it's not all bad.
Measuring 198.5 x 120 x 10.5 mm, the 7-incher weighs in at 340 grams
which is respectful for its size. The Amazon Kindle Fire and the Samsung
Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be having a hard time, indeed.
It's what we've all been waiting for, folks: Google and ASUS have announced the Nexus 7, a pure Google tablet that lets you take advantage of all the goods they're offering up in the Android market. But forget the software for now (we'll get into that later): let's talk specs.
It has a 7 inch 1280×800 display, Tegra 3 chipset, a front-facing camera, 9 hours of HD video (talk time in tablet speak) and 300 hours of standby time, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC. It's only 340 grams light so it's very easy to hold.
It's got a nice helping of power no doubt, but Google surprisingly wasn't interested in running down a list of mundane specs. This device is all about experiences.
You can read a book or magazine on your phone, and pick up where you left off on the tablet. They'll give you movie and TV show recommendations based on what you watch.
They'll let you find out what music you're listening to in an area if you don't know what it is. All of these apps have been optimized specifically for tablets, and Google's pushing them heavily on the Nexus 7. We'll be bringing you even more updates as we get them.
