Jelly Bean on Google Nexus - Hands On

Been 24 hours I have flashed Android Jelly Bean 4.1 on my Nexus GSM mobile. Here are some screen shots and features of the new Android 4.1

Well well well, Here you go.. The first screen you see, lock screen with an add on on the top "Google" which takes you to Google Now.

First looks of the home screen with the camera icon on the left, a folder consisting of all the google apps on the right. The usual Nexus dock at the bottom.

A look at the about page in the settings showing the Android Version 4.1. The Build number released is JRN84D. People in India can update to this from. Get the details and links about how to go about it here, or scroll to the bottom for my dropbox links.

Its easier to view your accounts sync'd with your mobile in settings under the Accounts section directly and tapping on any of the accounts give you many more details about what all is syncing, location, search history etc, having much more details than what ICS had.

One of the best features on JELLY BEAN is the NOTIFICATIONS area where everything is provided in details, more like widgets. Designed with simplicity and made much more attractively to gain you attention.

Widgets have been improvised in a superb way. They give a kinda professional look, nicely separated and arranged into boxes.

Google's latest "GOOGLE NOW" has been added in Jelly been. A fantastic feature which gives you a lot of information with just taps here and there. You should explore it to know it. Its works offline as well, keeps saving the kind of information you generally looks for. Now you don't have to worry if you have wifi or if you are in a network coverage area. Its does its work pretty well.

I liked the design of app preference manager as well. When you wanna open a site, it asks you which browser you wanna open the site with??,  or if you wanna tweet something and have 4 twitter apps, it asks you which app you wanna use to tweet, also gives you an open under the apps asking to save this and open the same app always or use this just for once. Look at the pic below. Really liked the way its designed. Looks lovely :)

I hope you guys got a lil' idea on how Jelly Bean is and how well it can be as its developed in future. Im loving it. The design is sweet, speed is much much faster than ICS. I have used Gingerbread, then ICS and now Im on JB, this has been really good in performance and speed.
My Dropbox links to get JB for Nexus:

You'll have to flash all the files one after another in the recovery mode on your Nexus one after the other. Wipe is needed, go to recovery mode, wipe & factory reset your nexus, wipe cache, wipe delvik cache, install zip, select the ROM file, flash it, then flash the other 2 files as well.

Reboot and you are good to go ahead and see what Jelly Bean really is :D
