Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Arrives For Nexus S [Download]

Looks like Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean has finally arrived for the Nexus S… in Pakistan. Our Android brothers and sisters in Asia are the first to receive the update over-the-air as one user has reported over on XDA. This is a good sign the 114MB update could soon arrive in other parts of the globe. If you don't feel like waiting, you can download and apply the JRO03E update directly via the Google link below. Exciting stuff!

iPhone 4S Will Fry Your Brain 3 Times Faster Than The Galaxy S3 [Infograph]

Today I found out that if you're a Galaxy S3 owner, the chances of you developing a tumor on the side of your head with human teeth are significantly less than, say, I dunno… an iPhone user who, chances are, could be making a trip to their local neurologist sometime soon. Don't take my word for it. The guys at Tawkon are experts at this sorta stuff and they recently released this infograph breaking it all down for you.

Tawkon made headlines not too long ago when they released an app for iOS that was quickly removed from the App Store after the results didn't exactly display the iPhone in the best light. No worries, their beautifully designed app can be found in the Play Store where you can monitor your cellphone radiation and even compare your exposure with your friends. Good times.

Google+ for Android receives minor update

An updated version of the Google+ Android app has been pushed to the Google Play Store today, though its changelog appears to have carried over from a previous version. A quick look at the app provides no noticeable changes, so we are assuming this is a minor update meant mostly to deal with lingering bugs and other small issues. If you are a G+ users, you likely have already been prompted to update your Android app. If not, head over to Google Play to download the latest version now. Let us know if you come across anything new in the app we may have overlooked.

Samsung GT-N7100 Gets Benchmarked – Possible Galaxy Note 2

I've been holding onto my blind hope that Samsung could be announcing the Galaxy Note 2 at their unveiling event on August 15th, and while I admit, it's completely baseless, this new leak isn't helping matters.

A mysterious device going by the codename GT-N7100 popped up on GLBenchmark and is turning some heads. Mainly because, as the name suggests, it appears to be a variation of the Note (the original was N7000) as in — sequel, folks. Specs for the device are everything you'd expect from a Note successor including a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor complete with Mali400 GPU. 720p HD display was also listed although, at a strange 1280×720 resolution instead of the original's 1280×800.

Anyone been holding off on upgrading to recent handsets for the Note 2?

I recently was out of my city for a couple of days. As soon as I left my state and entered another state, the lock screen of my Galaxy S3 started showing me 2 digital watches, 2 different times according to the time zones.

Root Samsung Galaxy SIII

CF-Root for SGS3 v6.4:

CF Root is the best method to root most of the android phones. The easiest and the most used.. Follow this method to ROOT your Samsung Galaxy SIII.

Works Perfectly on I9300 - Check your device model  - Go to Settings -> About -> Model No.
If you have I9300T or any other suffix, stop right here, this may not work for you, might even brick your device.

CF-Root is the root for "rooting beginners" and those who want to keep as close to stock as possible. CF-Root is meant to be used in combination with stock Samsung firmwares, and be the quickest and easiest way for your first root.

Insufficient Storage Space On Titanium Backup - Solved

Using a custom ROM on an Android device has its benefits — more battery life, buttery smooth speed, rom control, tweaks, and mods. Of course, not all custom ROMs are stable, many are still on beta stage, and updates are released almost every week. Non-wipe version updates doesn’t require any factory reset or cache wipe which I find it less of a hassle because I don’t need to do go over the setup wizard and restore all of my apps on Titanium Backup that could take some time especially if you have a lot of apps and games installed, unlike with a wipe version.

We all like hidden treats provided by Google, don’t we? Well here’s a quick peek at the new Jelly Bean Easter egg and it’s just as fun as the last. To activate the Easter egg, simply go to Settings > About Phone/Tablet, and tap the Android version number 4-times fast (4 will get you to the very beginning, more will pass the start image) and your good to go. Once you see the picture of the cute jelly bean, just longpress on the screen to get to the endless game of flickin’ beans. Fun fun!
