Samsung Galaxy S3 to get Jelly Bean from Aug 31st

If you own a Samsung Galaxy S3 you might not have long to wait for the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android update, as reports claim it will be rolled out from August 31.

According to SamMobile, which posted news about a leaked pre-release 4.1.1 ‘test firmware build’, users would be better off to ‘wait for 15 days to get the official updates by KIES or OTA’.
The site revealed the official update would be pushed over-the-air (OTA) or via Samsung’s Kies update software ‘at the end of this month begin next month’, placing a start date of August 31.
The Galaxy S3 update has apparently been prioritised over other devices though, as it is Samsung’s multi-million selling flagship. We’ll likely see updates for Samsung’s other popular models like Note and S2 in the next few months.
